Firefox 3 (public preview) bug affecting drop-down menus: Problem fixed!

June 3rd, 2008

A note for those early-adopters enjoying Firefox 3:

Firefox 3 has a bug that caused Add to Any’s drop-down menus to vanish when you move the mouse rapidly over the menu.

Luckily, we found a workaround to this problem and have updated the drop-down menus.

For those interested, the bug is exclusive to Firefox 3 up until at least yesterday’s nightly release. Thanks to PD for reporting the bug to us and Mozilla.

Use Google Analytics? You got stats!

May 11th, 2008

As Kristen at Mashable reported, Add to Any is now leveraging the power of Google Analytics.

Chances are pretty good that you’re already using Google Analytics. And if that’s the case, just place a Bookmark or Subscribe button on your page, and you got stats. Yep, automatically. No configuration on your part. Any page that includes the Google Analytics code, and also includes Add to Any code, will receive statistics — no cost, of course.

Many of you asked how to access the stats in Google Analytics, so today we’re linking you to a simple-to-follow guide on how to get stats on your Add to Any widgets.

Here’s the Add to Any & Google Analytics Guide. Go get ’em, tiger.

Classic and user-generated buttons on Flickr

April 26th, 2008

For fun archival purposes, we decided to create a Flickr Group for all the buttons that have been used for Add to Any on various websites. Most of them were created by publishers who take advantage of Add to Any on their sites and blogs. Some were created by fans of the site.

If you have a custom Add to Any button that you (or your company) have created, we’d love to have you send it to the pool!

To get it started, we took the liberty of uploading a small amount that we’ve stumbled upon and saved. Sadly, we don’t remember who to attribute these little creations to, but if you contact us, we’ll be sure to make that right. 🙂
